Set midway between the north & south coasts and between Dartmoor & Bodmin Moor, the area offers an endless choice of places to explore and things to do to keep everyone in the family happy. Choose between the many beautiful beaches and quaint little fishing harbours like Tintagel, Boscastle or Bude on the North coast, and Looe & Polperro to the south. Discover the many stunning waterfalls, rivers, villages and lakes on Dartmoor, including Lydford Gorge and Widdicombe in the Moore, and the famous Jamaica Inn and Golitha Falls on Bodmin Moor. The cottage is within easy reach for visiting the incredible Eden Project plus many beautiful sub-tropical gardens and houses, including the Lost Gardens of Heligan. There are several excellent 18 hole Golf courses nearby, including St. Mellion. Walkers will find an endless choice of venues in the moors and tors and the spectacular coastal paths and Anglers have a choice of fly, coarse or sea fishing all within easy reach. Most people say they wished they had booked a longer holiday, there is so much to do and see.
THE COTTAGE
Burdown Cottage is a 100 year old quality self-contained property, recently refurbished by the owners. It is a comfortable spacious self-catering cottage next to the owners home and equipped to a high standard with good quality furniture throughout. It sleeps 6 in three bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin and 1 with full size bunk beds. The bathroom has a large bath/shower, hand basin and toilet. The open beamed lounge/dining room has a granite fireplace, log burning stove, plus colour TV & video. There is central heating throughout. The fully fitted kitchen has separate fridge & freezer, microwave, electric cooker and an automatic washer/dryer.
The large secluded garden benefits from a pretty brook with a patio and BBQ exclusively for guests. There are also two ornamental fish ponds plus ample space for off road parking.
